Community Wellness Grant Program
Mary Rutan Foundation is committed to promoting healthy lifestyles of Logan County residents. To foster community partnerships, Mary Rutan Foundation established a grant program focused on areas of concern identified in periodic Community Health Assessments.
Mental health was identified as the highest priority of health risk and need in Logan County in the recent Community Need Assessment. Furthermore, there is an increased concern about mental health for our youth.
In addition, the majority of respondents of the Community Health Assessment named obesity and healthy lifestyle choices as a moderate or very serious issue facing Logan County.
Due to statistics related to mental health concerns for our youth and the importance of establishing healthy lifestyles at young ages, options for focus areas for the 2025–2026 grant cycle are youth mental health and youth healthy living.
Preference will be given to programs that incorporate and/or demonstrate impact on one or more of the following in Logan County:
- Youth
- Populations identified as at-risk
- School-based implementation
- Number of youth impacted
- Evidence-based program curriculum
- Innovative local partnerships
Qualified applicants must be a Logan County:
- School
- 501(c)(3) organization
Please note: Private foundations are not eligible.
Grant cycle
- Complete applications must be submitted electronically by midnight, October 8, 2025.
- Awarded programs will be announced by October 31, 2025
- A total of $30,000 is available for this funding cycle.
- Grant requests may range from $500 to $5,000.
- In order to be awarded, amounts requested may be adjusted.
- An interview may be scheduled for an applicant request of $5,000.
