At Mary Rutan Hospital, we take our role as a community-based, not-for-profit hospital seriously. We support our local communities in many ways, focused on the health, safety and wellbeing of all that live, work and play in our community and by providing progressive, compassionate quality health care for all.
Mary Rutan Foundation funds many of these efforts, giving back to the community and its residents through community donations, grants, financial assistance programs and medical scholarships and loan programs.
Over the years, the Mary Rutan Foundation has awarded millions of dollars to Logan County organizations, schools, students and community members.
In the 2021 grant cycle, 16 organizations applied for funding totaling just over $120,000. To determine who received the awards, a grant committee took on the ever arduous task of evaluating each program, project or service to determine which ones best met the criteria of the grant program, which was to address concerns for mental health needs in the community. Of those applicants, 9 organizations were awarded a total of $44,504.
Since the program's inception in 2013, Mary Rutan Foundation has awarded over $330,000 in grant funding.
Mary Rutan Foundation is proud to announce that 45 students, for the 2021/22 academic year, have received financial scholarships, grants or loans totaling $68,792 to further their education in the medical field. Click here to see the detailed distribution of scholarships and loans.
